What To Do This Canada Day Long Weekend


Not sure what to do this long weekend? There is plenty of events and activities going on around the Durham Region to celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday! Read below to find your local event time and location:

Pickering Celebrations:

The Esplanade Park: Noon – 5:00 Pm

The daytime portion will feature Live entertainment performances on two stages,  30+ Community Organisations offering a variety of activities, an assortment of food trucks and so much more. Daytime Shuttles from the Pickering Go Station will also be available.

 

Kinsmen Park: 5:00 Pm – 11:00 Pm

Celebrate Canada’s 150 with a Pyromusical Firework show at Pickering’s Kinsmen Park. Free Shuttle from Pickering Go Station. Family Dance Party from 5-7 and Live Performances at 7:00 Pm.


Ajax Celebrations:

Rotary Park: 11:00 Am – 3:00 Pm

Enjoy the daytime portion of Ajax’s Canada Day Celebration at Rotary Park (177 Lake Driveway W, Ajax) with Face Painting, Live Performances, Activities, & Food! Fun for the whole family!

 

Ajax Downs: 6:00 Pm – 10:00 Pm

You don’t want to miss the Night-Time Extravaganza at Ajax Downs (50 Alexander’s Crossing)! With Gourmet Food Trucks, Game Asylum and Carnival Games! The headliner show featuring SLOAN starts at 8 Pm. A mesmerizing Cirque show starts at 9:30 with a spectacular firework show to finish off the evening at 10:00 Pm.

Whitby Celebrations:

Victoria Fields 12:00 Pm – 10:00 Pm

Celebrate Canada’s 150 in Victoria Fields (345 Watson Street W)! Filled with live entertainment, food vendors, activities for the whole family and a firework’s show at dusk!

 

Oshawa Celebrations:

Lakeview Park 2:00 Pm – 10:00 Pm

Canada Day Celebrations start at 2:00 Pm in Lakeview Park (55 Lakeview Park Ave.) with live entertainment and activities for all ages! Enjoy the grand finale firework show choreographed to an all-Canadian playlist!
